Savo Design & Technic is a Finnish family company located in Vantaa. Savo has offered high quality solutions to fixture manufacturers and via reseller network to consumers already since 1982.
Harri Savo established the company in 1982. In the very beginning the carage of Harri’s parents acted as the central warehouse of the company. Hit products of that time, slide strips, were transported on the round roof of a Beetle. The company grew fast and partnerships were set up, many of which are still active. For example, the most advanced fixture movement systems’ manufacturer Grass has been an important partner for Savo already since 1985.
Savo Design & Technic has always invested in both design and advanced technical functionality of products just like the company name suggests. We have been developing our own Savo collection especially for kitchen starting from 2001. The Savo collection includes among other things cooker hoods, sinks, kitchen accessories, and lighting. We still invest heavily in constant product development and work with the best designers and manufacturers to be able to offer a first class selection of advanced products suited for the Finnish market. Also, good customer service and listening to customers have always been the corner stones of the company.
In 2012 we brought a revolution to Finnish kitchens when we lauched BORA cooktops with an integrated extractor. BORA enabled new kind of kitchen designs. An effective extractor integrated into a cooktop leaves the space above the cooktop open so it can be placed for example in front of a window. A kitchen island becomes genuinely open, and in smaller kitchens there is more room for upper cabinets. BORA brings continuously new products and product groups to market and is still an important partner for Savo.
Starting from 2016 Harri’s daughters’ Milla and Roosa have been involved in the family business.
