Now after almost three years of use Kokkonen is still very happy with his choice. “It really is extremely effective – it is best to add light spices such as oregano to food from pretty close distance, otherwise the extractor sucks them in. And the activated carbon filter is so good that there’s no frying smell or cooking vapours in the kitchen”, tells Kokkonen.

“Bora reminded recently that it is time to change the filters, so I ordered new ones. Then when I started changing them, I noticed that the reverse side of the old filters looked like new – and they had been in use already one and a half years”, marvels Kokkonen. “It’s amazing how well the filter works!”

Bora recommends changing the filters once a year or after 150 hours of use, and the device reminds about the need to change when the hours have passed. Kokkonen’s Bora had been in frequent use these 150 hours. “We have five children in our family, so we cook twice with Bora almost every day.”

Kokkonen believes that regular use of the after ventilation of Bora has had an impact in the longevity of the filters. “We have used the after ventilation almost every time we have finished cooking. I’m sure that using the device correctly has an effect also on the mileage of the filters.”
