Savo solution: Savo e-series ceiling hood eRH-95 that controls an EC roof fan

Fiskari31 blog presents the planning, building and interior design stages of a four-storey townhouse in Helsinki Kalasatama. Savo e-series ceiling hood eRH-9511-S that controls an EC roof fan was chosen in the kitchen of the house.

The main themes in the choice of materials for the project were ecological footprint and environmental friendliness. This was the case also in the selection of the cooker hood. EC control is significantly more energy efficient than AC control used with roof fans and ventilation machines equipped with traditional AC-motors.

Other important factors that affected the hood choice were its design and domesticity – in more detail the combination of Italian design and Finnish technology. “Savo has built the EC control technology of the cooker hood so that it fits together with Finnish roof fans. Italian design knit together with Finnish engineering – a pretty perfect combination!”

The fact that the chosen hood fits flawlessly together with VILPE Eco 2205 roof fan that is installed on the roof of the townhouse was critical. The brochures found on Savo website as well as the product configurator on the Hoods page that enables searching hoods based for example on installation place and the ventilation system were very helpful in finding the right hood. The document found on the Hoods page that lists Savo hoods compatible with EC remote blowers helped also in the selection of the hood.
